In March 2018, Disney announced that it would be closing the beloved Bug’s Land area at Disney California Adventure Park at Disneyland Resort. Bug’s Land was full of fun rides and an interactive splash pad that was the perfect place for parents with young children to take a break. The area would be transformed into a first-of-its-kind Avengers Campus. Bug’s Land officially closed on September 4, 2018, and Disney crews quickly got to work on the massive Marvel transformation.
