The Disney Legends Awards began when Fred MacMurray (“The Shaggy Dog,” “The Absent-Minded Professor,” “The Happiest Millionaire”) was honored in 1987. Since then (including this year’s 14 honorees), 318 individuals have been named Disney Legends.

“To be named a Disney Legend is the highest honor our company can bestow on anyone,” said Disney CEO Bob Iger. “[IT’s] reserved for those whose talent and achievement have earned them an enduring place in our history.”

Disney Legends receive a two-foot-tall bronze Disney Legends sculpture representing the “imagination, creativity, and magic they have brought to the company.” Honorees
