As Hurricane Milton approaches, Walt Disney World has implemented several operational changes to ensure the safety of guests and cast members. These updates include phased theme park closures, resort hotel adjustments, and changes to transportation and recreation services over the next few days.

Theme Park Closures

On Wednesday, October 9, Walt Disney World theme parks and Disney Springs will begin closing in phases starting at 1 p.m.:

Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will close at 1 p.m.

Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney Springs will close at 2 p.m.

It is likely that theme parks will remain closed on Thursday, October 10, with the potential reopening of Disney Springs in the late afternoon, offering limited dining and shopping experiences. Additionally, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party scheduled for October 10 at Magic Kingdom has been canceled. Guests with event tickets will receive full refunds.
